ACCESSIBILITY POLICY & PLAN <\/h3>

Policy statement<\/strong>
Under the Accessibility Act<\/a> all schools must have an Accessibility Committee, to develop an Accessibility Plan, and a method to receive feedback.

Rationale or purpose of policy<\/strong>
The purpose of this policy is to remove barriers and increase inclusion and independence for everyone. For the purposed of this Act, a barrier is anything that hinders the full and equal participation in society of a person with an impairment. An impairment can include physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, or cognitive impairment. Accessibility means that all people can take part in their communities through work, play and other daily activities.
